FILLING THE VATICAN.
Crowds on "Angels & Demons"

Ziah Fogel
Crowd Supervisor
Double Negative

Ponenet

The film Angels & Demons required crowds of tens of thousands of realistic humans performing a variety of actions, including a sequence involving crowds of people in an explosion. In order to achieve the best results, we created two different crowds pipelines - one using simple 2½-D methods, and one using a more complex fully 3-D system.

With these two approaches, we were able to fill St. Peter's Square with believable crowds
