In recent years moving images for marketing architecture has become the standard for larger projects. For the project “Blue Waves” Placebo Effects worked together with the architects during the design process gaining a deep understanding of the design concept. This resulted in our writing, producing and animating a two minute CG film with live action elements. With this film we have strived to put the emphasis on film into architectural animation, focusing on live characters to tell a story about the building using cinematic language. In order to create a compelling film and at the same time produce 40 fully CG shots in less than a month on a tight budget, the story and the VFX was developed in sync. Kim will present how the story was developed with the visual effects in mind in order to both create a compelling film while keeping the more than 40 fully CG shots doable over the course of less than a month on a tight budget. |
