In this presentation, Jordi will give a vision of the evolution of characters and advanced configuration of hair and muscles to create high level characters.

From his current position as Creative Director at Framestore, Jordi is an international expert in postproduction of commercials, some of them considered the referents in this sector in the last 20 years. With the challenge of searching the limits of computer graphics, he has collaborated with some of the main international directors for brands such as Adidas, Citroën, Guinness, Heineken, Carlsberg, Thomson, Levis, LG, Nike, Philips, Sony, Visa, Strongbow or the band Radiohead.

Jordi studied Architecture in Barcelona and also worked in software engineering and animation before he left Barcelona to join Jim Henson’s Creature shop, The Mill, Realise Studio and Glassworks. The eye for structure and creating effects that are grounded in physical reality is very much the driving force behind his approach. His craft and problem solving abilities have helped many directors and agencies win awards and recognition, and his own contribution has also been noticed with multiple awards.

After 10 years at The Mill Jordi eagerness to reinvent the way to design and craft visual effects has led him to find his own voice, ultimately taking him on an incredible journey to Glassworks where worked together with some of the best visual effects artists, pushing the boundaries of what is possible mixing old film techniques with the very latest cutting edge approaches.

Jordi has picked up numerous BTAA Craft Awards, multiple Clio Awards, a D&AD yellow pencil, and gongs at the Australia Effects and Animation Festival, Australia′s Young Guns, London International Awards, for work including the commercials Sony Balls, Sony PlayStation Mountain and Toohey′s The Quest.
