Every day the audiovisual market is updated with new capture and display technologies, giving rise to a great diversity of formats, colour spaces and codecs. It is essential to apply correct colour management to be able to develop all the technical and creative processes while respecting our image design.

We then propose a journey through the ACES (Academy Colour Encoding System) and OCIO (Open Colour IO) colour management systems, from the formation of the image in the camera, to its exhibition, delving into the exciting world of visual effects.

Manuel Bascoy (ADF), post producer and cinematographer, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After completing his degree in cinematography at the University of Cinema (FUC), he dedicated himself fully to the world of cinematographic image in all stages of production, thus combining shooting and post. His professional career is also developed in the academic field as a university professor and in specialized workshops with the main players in the industry, such as Kodak, Panavision, Arri and Red.

He currently works as coordinator of the Compo and colour grading departments at Dare Planet Studio.
