This presentation by Carlos Grangel will focus on the significance of love, passion and dedication to your artistic work, emphasizing the importance of getting the most out of what you do and perform.

Grangel Studio is a multimedia creative centre that offers graphic and visual design solutions and has become one of the most prestigious in its field, specialising in the creation and subsequent development of styles and characters for animated films. It provides the highest standards in originality, innovation and quality in line with the requirements of each of its clients.

Carlos started in animation as a character designer at Amblimation-Universal Pictures in London, and worked on Were Back: A Dinosaur´s Story and Balto.

After establishing his studio in 1993 he designed characters for the DreamWorks movies The Prince of Egypt, Antz, The Road to El Dorado, Spirit, Sinbad, Shark Tale, Madagascar, Flushed Away, Kung-Fu Panda, Bee Movie and How to train your Dragon; and for other studios Arthur Christmas, Hotel Transilvania, The Pirates! Band of Misfits and Pourquoi j'ai pas mangé mon Père, Ron's gone wrong and the Pinocchio from Guillermo del Toro.

Original creator with Tim Burton for the characters on Corpse Bride, his studio has been deeply involve working during the last three years including services on the puppets supervision, logo and title design, ideas on costume and prop design and final merchandising supervision.

He also contributed designing characters for various shortfilms like The Periwig Maker, La Noria, Alma, Mathilda, The ClockWork Clone and Nina.

His work has been exhibit at The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), The American University Museum (Katzen Arts Center), The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), The Toronto Bell Lightbox, La Cinémathèque Française in Paris, The Seoul Museum of Art, The World Expo Shanghai 2010 and The Modern Art Museum of Palma de Mallorca (Es Baluard).

He is a member Member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Hollywood.
