José Antonio has worked as a producer in the animation and VFX industry for more than 25 years, since 1999 when he was Production Manager of one of the first 3D animation series made in Spain.

Among other responsibilities, he has worked as Production Manager at the Berliner Film Company, Production Manager and Executive Producer at Ilion Animation Studios (the Spanish animation studio acquired by Skydance Animation), Head of Studio at The Sergio Pablos Animation Studios (AKA The SPA Studios), where he has worked with clients such as Sony Pictures, Paramount or Warner, and most recently as Studio Manager at Orca VFX Studios.

Some of his credits include Planet 51, Foosball directed by Academy Award winner Juan Campanella, The Legend of Smurfy Hollow for Sony Pictures, Happily Never After, Smallfoot, The Witcher season 3, Knights of the Zodiac and Bird Box Barcelona.

In recent years, he has also worked as an expert analyst evaluating projects as a member of film grant commissions for the European Commission, the Spanish Ministry of Culture and the Community of Madrid and he currently works as Director of Business Development at Voxel School.
