Artists often develop projects dreaming that someone will discover them and take them to the promised land: the realization of their story. However, after an arduous writing process, when the time comes to present their project to potential buyers, they find themselves in no man's land. Where do I start moving my project? How do I reach producers? How do I continue to develop the script and bible if I don't have the time, funds or contacts to do so?
In this talk we will discuss the process of developing a project and seeking funding in its early stages, when the creator works alone. Through real cases, we will see how to make key decisions at each stage of development. We will address decisions about the design of the bible and the level of development of the story and characters. We will also look at the best methods for presenting a project to producers.
On the other hand, we will present the development and financing paths prior to the arrival of the producer, as well as the best places to find potential partners. Finally, we will also explore the path of self-production. Throughout this process, it will be as important to know what to do as it will be to learn from the mistakes we don't want to repeat.
