AI Assemble is an association that brings together companies, researchers, professionals, and institutions specializing in artificial intelligence, with the goal of promoting the responsible development and adoption of this technology, particularly in sectors such as the audiovisual and digital creative industries.

Its primary mission is to foster dialogue between technological innovation, ethics, and regulation, promoting a balanced vision of AI that combines technical progress with the protection of rights, authorship, and employment. In addition, AI Assemble serves as a platform for outreach, collaboration, and industry representation, helping companies and organizations better understand the impact and opportunities offered by artificial intelligence.

One of the strategic priorities of AI Assemble is the promotion of transparent, sovereign, and ethical solutions that are committed to protecting Europe’s cultural heritage and ensuring fair compensation for artists and rights holders.

The design and creation of foundational image and video models are key to meeting this objective. Over the past year, AI Assemble has participated in various forums and discussions focused on this issue.

Carlos F. De Vigo, vice president of AI Assemble, will share the progress and conclusions of an initiative that seeks to explore the possibilities of a traceable, transparent model oriented toward fair compensation for producers and artists, rather than accepting as the only option opaque tools developed outside the sector and outside Europe.

This presentation will outline the current status of this work. It will highlight the main progress made over the past year, the partnerships that have emerged along the way, and the obstacles encountered, both technical and legal, institutional, and sector-specific. A discussion of where the project stands, the questions that remain open, and the areas where work continues, with a special focus on data traceability, future attribution and remuneration mechanisms, and the conditions necessary for a model of this type to be truly transparent, verifiable, and useful for the audiovisual ecosystem.
