This talk will cover some of the highlights and innovations of Industrial Light and Magic's half-century history, from its inception by George Lucas in 1975 create the original Star Wars up to Guillermo del Toro's 2025 horror masterpiece, Frankenstein. 

Throughout its history, Industrial Light & Magic has participated in the creation of more than 350 films, establishing itself as one of the fundamental pillars of the contemporary film industry. Its work ranges from epic franchises that have defined generations to independent productions that have elevated the visual language of cinema.

Beyond its commercial impact, ILM's contribution is measured by its ability to transform imagination into memorable images, setting new technical and artistic standards at every stage of its evolution. Its innovations have not only shaped some of Hollywood's most iconic moments, but have also pushed the boundaries of what cinema can tell and how it can do so.
