

It is not uncommon to see projects where the initial vis-devs and concept art are more appealing than the final 3D finish.
This seems to have become normalized and accepted, but it invites reflection. And it doesn't only happen when a 2D look is desired: it is all too common that, in the transition to the final medium and adaptation to production requirements, part of the essence and much of the art is lost. However, not everything is due to technical limitations. We live with too many dogmas about what is not possible.
