The conference will show how El Ranchito approached and optimised an FX project such as Shadow and Bones (Netflix), in its second season. We will focus on NichevoYa, a creature made entirely of particles that can solidify according to artistic needs.

Through a shot of the series, we will show the different processes and difficulties that the FX department had to face in the creation of the creature, from the preparation to the final result.

The pre-production process at FX will be detailed to show the importance of planning for a few months all the possible scenarios and difficulties that we would encounter during the production stage: seeing what elements are necessary, how the character changes from season 1 to season 2, thinking about what tools will need to be created, R&D, and calculating the time needed to solve unforeseen events. This process was key to meeting the objective, which is always to meet the needs of the show, delivering high quality material to help bring the director's creative vision to life, within the dates set by the client, and to be on time for the premiere date.
